ÂBaltimore Orioles vs Tampa Bay Rays Pick
1u - Shane McClanahan To Record A Win (-120) (Bet $120 to win $100)

McClanahan has been nothing short of spectacular this season. The lefty holds a 1.71 ERA in his 18 games pitched and holds an even more impressive 1.45 ERA on the road in his six games pitched. The Orioles aren’t the laughing stock they once were but we have reason to believe that Shane can keep things going tonight enough to get himself a win.
Baltimore Orioles vs Tampa Bay Rays Prediction
The Orioles may be an improved club but they still are putting up numbers that don’t scare me in the slightest. The O’s are batting .233 against left-handed pitching on the season and have a particularly rough history vs McClanahan. In 88 bats these Baltimore bats have only come up with four RBIs in their history vs McClanahan. Two from Hays and another two from Mullins, that’s not great. McClanahan has a 4-0 record against the Orioles in the last two years and just over two ERA.
Spenser Watkins is on the mound of Baltimore and he has been pretty good as of late. He has been on the money lately only three runs over his last 22.2 innings pitched, I just don’t buy it. Watkins will get better with time without question but keeping this streak up isn’t sustainable.
Last time out against the Rays this year he didn’t record a single out. He stepped on the mound allowed three runs without recording an out and left. I’m not saying that will happen again but it's clear that these bats know how to hit him to give Shane some run support on his way to a win. These Tampa Bats are 15-39 against him lifetime which is good for a .384 average.
Tampa Bay are -190 favorites and McClanahan has pitched 5+ innings in 16 straight, we just need him to do that a 17th time and leave the game with the lead. Tampa's bullpen has been pretty efficient as they rank eighth best in the MLB, if McClanahan and the bats do their job they should put the bow on top.
