I waited all night for this prop, and it opened at -180. I refuse to not play it, so we are pairing it with a juice reducer. Here is my prediction and best bet for Wednesday's AL West clash between the Oakland Athletics vs. Houston Astros.

Athletics vs. Astros Line Movement

Oakland Athletics vs. Houston Astros Prediction

1u - Cristian Javier u2.5 Earned Runs / Miguel Cabrera No HR (-145) (Bet $145 to Win $100)

*Odds Available at DraftKings*

This is so weird so allow me to explain how to get this into your bet slip. First, you will go to the DET/SD game and hit “Batter Props.” You will see 0.5 as an option for Miguel Cabrera and go with the under. Now, after selecting that, you will go to the HOU/OAK game and go to “Pitcher Props.” When you are there, you will scroll all the way down to “Earned Runs” and select under 2.5 at -180. There is a chance that we move the line to 1.5, or they completely remove the option but let's hope they don’t pull anything here.

We’ve addressed how to place the bet but now I have to talk about why I like it. Cristian Javier is a guy who has respected our units for as long as I can remember. Sure, there have been a few rough nights, but healthy relationships don’t have a fight here and there. Javier is under 2.5 earned runs in 14/18 and under in 10/14 starts. Oakland scores the 2nd fewest runs in MLB and hits .212 against righties. Javier has already pitched against the Athletics this year and only allowed 1 run.

The juice reducer is simple. Miguel Cabrera holds a special place in my heart but he doesn’t have the power he used to have. He just homered two games ago, but he hasn’t homered since May 15th. In 300 at-bats, he has just 4 HRs. He is averaging a home run every 75 at-bats. He’s just not who he once was from a power perspective. He finds Yu Darvish tonight who he has faced 21 times and never homered against. Not to mention, the game is at Comerica Park, where it is difficult to hit the long ball. I love the Javier play, and the juice reducer brings it down by 35 cents with an 80/84 hit rate. This bet is totally worth it.
