Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers Prediction
The Texas Rangers face the Seattle Mariners taking place from Seattle for game three of this AL West affair. Seattle won the first two games in close fashion. The Mariners held a 3-1 lead last night late into the game that was erased on an RBI double by Adolis Garcia. The Rangers would take a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the 9th, but Seattle worked their magic yet again, winning the game on a sacrifice fly by Carlos Santana.
Seattle has been one of the best stories in the league this season as they took a fourteen-game win streak into the All-Star break. They got swept by Houston in their first series after the break but have responded well, winning the first two games here. Seattle has thrived in close games this season and is showing in this series.
Texas sits ten games under .500, but their record could be very much different if they could close out games. They have a record of 5-23 in one-run games, which is the worst in baseball. Seattle, on the other side of things, is one of the best teams in baseball in one-run games, with a record of 23-12. Today, we have a pair of veterans on the mound as Jon Gray gets the ball for Texas. Southpaw Marco Gonzales will oppose him.
I am backing the Rangers on the first five moneyline today. I do not trust them in a full-game situation as Seattle has the much better bullpen and, as I mentioned earlier, is one of the best teams in baseball in close games. Gray has been throwing the baseball great as of late, and I trust that he will limit this Seattle team early. Gonzales is consistent in what he will do when he is on the mound. He will typically give up three or four runs over five or six innings. If the Rangers can scratch three runs in five innings, we are in good shape with Gray on the mound. I love this spot for Texas today. Let’s stay hot!
