Baltimore has been the biggest surprise of the season in the majors as they come into this game with a winning record overall. They have been a tough team to beat in the division, and the reason that is so surprising is they are playing in the best division in the majors. They are also the most profitable team to bet on to this point in the season so to gamblers. they basically are World Series champions.

I think everyone is rooting for Baltimore to pull off a shocking story and make the postseason, but it will be a tough path. As I have mentioned, they play in the best division in baseball and they could be sellers next week at the trade deadline. Only time will tell what will happen to this team, but no matter what, they have overachieved this year, and the future should be bright in Baltimore.

The Rays have had a good season so far and appear like they will be competing for a wildcard spot until the season ends. Tampa enters play today, holding the final wildcard spot with a 2.5-game lead over the Cleveland Guardians. Baltimore sits four games back for that final wildcard spot. 

I am looking at a total here for this early game. I will be backing the under of 9.5 in this one. The pitching matchup is not a great one as Jordan Lyles toes the rubber for the Orioles. Ryan Yarbrough will oppose Lyles. Stat-wise, these guys do not look great, but I am looking at the lineups for both teams today.

Tampa could be sending out their worst offensive lineup of the season, missing multiple starters here. Baltimore will also be sitting three or four regulars, and this will be a bullpen game for the Rays. They should be able to limit this Orioles offense today. I believe this flies under.
