The D-Backs enter this one on a three-game winning streak after sweeping the San Francisco Giants. The Braves are fresh off a series where they lost two of three to the Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves will look to bounce back tonight behind right-hander Kyle Wright.

Wright has enjoyed a stellar season so far, entering play with a record of 12-4 and an era of just 2.95. The Braves got off to a rocky start but since June, they have been one of the best teams in all of baseball. The Braves shocked the league last season when they were crowned World Series champions. Atlanta made a late surge to take the NL East, and the rest is history. This is a team that did lose their MVP, Freddie Freeman, in the off-season but replaced him with Matt Olson. While Olson is not Freeman, he is a pretty close replacement.

This is a team more than capable of repeating this season. Arizona would need a lot of things to go their way if they want to make a playoff run. They enter play tonight, sitting 6.5 games behind Philadelphia and St Louis for the final wildcard spot. Madison Bumgarner will toe the rubber for the D-Backs tonight, looking to extend their win streak to four games. 

I will be taking the Braves tonight on the -1 line. I will not get too cute here as I believe this is a perfect spot for the Braves. They are coming off a tough series against the Phillies and will want to get back to form at home tonight. Wright has quietly been one of the most profitable pitchers to back in the MLB season.

He should have his way tonight against this limited D-Backs lineup. Bumgarner has had an ok season, but this will be one of his most challenging assignments tonight. This Braves lineup has been hitting with supreme confidence the last two months and will put up runs tonight. Let’s stay hot!
