Los Angeles Angels vs Texas Rangers Predictions: Can Shohei Ohtani and the Angels Rebound?

Sorry for not getting any articles out the last two days for y’all I was traveling but we are back in action here tonight and I want to dive into my favorite spot on the board. Yesterday we missed out on the total in the Texas/Anaheim matchup but Texas did bull through once again as big money line dogs cashing at +195 in their win over the Angels. Shohei Ohtani starting has been one of the only ways Los Angeles has been able to win games late in the first place but they have now dropped his last two straight. Let's get into my prediction, pick, and odds for Angeles vs Rangers.

Angels vs Rangers Line Movement

Los Angles Angels vs Texas Rangers Prediction

Patrick Sandoval is not necessarily one of those pitchers I am religiously looking to fade but the Angels in their current standing are. Martin Perez has been excellent this year and has the ball for the Rangers tonight. I am not expecting a Cy Young caliber dominating performance here but they are sporting a winning percentage of nearly .750 (14-5) in his starts this season and facing off against a guy who has lost his last five starts.

My main wager here on this one this evening is going to be Texas on the money line as I think this spot is another really good opportunity for them that they should take advantage of but I am also going to bite on this total again. It’s just really low for anyone who understands how baserunners can be pushed across so easily if things go well.

Sandoval has a tendency to walk batters and the Rangers lineup is one of my favorites in the league. They are young and ahead of schedule but producing and have dropped 26 runs on the Angels in the last four games before yesterdays low scoring affair. I think we see something from both sides but in a perfect world here Texas carries us home.
