Did anyone else get deja vu reading this? This is too good to pass up. Cole is at home where he absolutely dominates. On the season Cole holds a 3.09 ERA but at home specifically, the man has a 2.09 ERA over the course of 10 starts. He finds himself in a familiar offense that he already dominated before and just traded away their hottest bat away (funny enough it was to the Yankees).

Cole has played Kansas City already this year and held them scoreless through six innings. The Royals failed to score in the other three innings as well and Cole secured his second win of the season with no sweat. With Benny Biceps now gone and Salvador Perez still injured this team is even worse than the team he already dismantled. These Kansas City bats hit 10-54 lifetime against Cole which is only good for a .185 average. I don’t see them doing much.
Yankees will need to give this man some run support and improve on their 1-0 walk-off win yesterday where their only run was a walk-off HR by Judge. We need some early runs here and I think they can do it. Bubic has a 5.53 ERA and already allowed three runs in five innings in his one matchup against New York. Yankees do hit slightly better for average against lefties as well and they are due after a brutal offensive output yesterday. If Cole qualifies for the win then I trust the second-ranked bullpen in terms of ERA to seal the deal for him.
