Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction

The Los Angeles Dodgers face the Colorado Rockies taking place from the mile-high on Sunday afternoon. Coors Field will be the sight for this NL West series game three. The series is split so far as the Rockies were able to outlast the Dodgers last night, winning by a score of 5-3. In game one, the Dodgers fended off a late run by the Rockies, winning by a score of 5-4.

The Dodgers are yet again considered by many the best team in baseball. This is a team that won a World Series a couple of years ago and somehow keeps getting better. In the off-season, the Dodgers inked a contract with All-Star first baseman Freddie Freeman. Freeman is having an MVP-caliber season, making this lineup the toughest in baseball. Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, and Freddie Freeman are as good as a top three the game has ever seen.

The Dodgers have had surprising seasons by pitchers Tyler Anderson and Tony Gonsolin. Many thought it would be Walker Buehler and Clayton Kershaw who were the two best arms on the team, but this year it has been Gonsolin and Anderson. Gonsolin gets the ball today for the Dodgers.

Gonsolin, who was a first-time All-Star this season, comes into this game with an ERA of just 2.26. His 11-1 record is one of the best in all of baseball. Opposing Gonsolin will be veteran German Marquez. He has struggled this year with an ERA north of five and a record of 6-8. 

I am backing the best team in baseball today on the -1 line. We have to pay some juice, but it will be well worth it in my mind. Gonsolin has been great this year, and while I believe he will regress a bit, he is the much better arm today. The Dodgers have not covered this number yet in this series, but today should be the day their bat's breakout.

The Dodgers have been held to five runs and three runs in the first two games of this series which is not good for them. Today will be the day those bats get hot and lead them to a big win. I expect a route in this one today. Let’s cash in!
