Chicago White Sox vs. Kansas City Royals Prediction

The Kansas City Royals face the Chicago White Sox taking place from the south side on Monday night for game one of this AL Central affair.

The White Sox come into this game over the .500 mark for the first time in a long time. This is a team that was one of the favorites to come out of the American League in the preseason. They struggled early on, but it appears they have finally turned the corner. This is a loaded lineup with a plus rotation. The Sox will have their eyes on the division as they have cut into the Twin's lead and enter play today sitting just two games back.

The Royals know that their season is a lost cause at this point, and they should be sellers at the trade deadline. It will be interesting to see how they play this next week. Andrew Benintendi was the Royals best player this season, earning himself a trip to the All-Star game. The Royals dealt Benintendi last week to the New York Yankees for prospects.

Kansas City feels the future should be bright as they look to build around young star Bobby Witt Jr. He has more tools than a boy band, and he has put them on display this season. Witt Jr now leads the team in most offensive categories and is considered one of the fastest players in baseball.

Tonight Michael Kopech will toe the rubber for the Sox, being opposed by Brad Keller, who gets the call for the Royals. 

I will be backing the White Sox on the moneyline today. This line is off, and we will be taking full advantage tonight. If you want to sip less juice, I would go -1, but I will be safe here and take the moneyline.

I believe Kopech is one of the most undervalued arms in baseball. This is a guy who was a top prospect for years, and he has shown why this season. Kopech should cruise against an offense like Kansas City that does not have many threats at the plate. Brad Keller has had a solid season but has struggled in his last two starts. I believe that will continue tonight against this loaded Sox lineup.
