Houston Astros vs. Boston Red Sox Prediction, Picks, Odds: Can Cristian Javier Keep Struggling Sox at Bay?
Well, Houston dropped the opener in this series last night in a low-scoring affair, but I do not see them dropping the series here in this game tonight. The trade deadline is a major narrative across the board today, and quite a few spots on the board are seeing immediate effects on both sides of the diamond. This matchup is one of the ones I am talking about.
The Astros are sporting a strong record well over .500 at 67-37 on the season and are looking like the team to beat coming out of the American League once again this season. Javier has the ball and is throwing well this season. As long as he finds his groove and has some support, he will be of no concern to me.

Astros vs Red Sox Prediction
Trey Mancini was just traded from Baltimore to Houston, and I expect him to be in the lineup tonight as well, which really just makes one of the most deadly lineups in the league even more dangerous. The top five or six bats in Houston’s lineup the last few years have been deadly for the majority of the time, but now it really looks like that top seven is a true gauntlet.
Kutter Crawford is someone I am more than willing to fade any day of the week, and considering the loss of mojo in that dugout today, that can be expected. He could get cracked early. JD Martinez and a few other guys are expecting to be departing from Boston today as the Red Sox sit at 52-52, dead last in the American League East.
I look to ride with this squad anytime I think the spot warrants it, and once again, I believe it does here today. They are 30 games above .500 for a reason. They love winning.
