New York Yankees vs. Seattle Mariners Prediction

The Seattle Mariners face the New York Yankees taking place from the Bronx on Tuesday night. The Yankees have been the best team in baseball this season and will look to close the season strong in the next two months. Unless they have an epic collapse, they will be AL East champions.

This is a loaded team that added some pitching yesterday when they landed Frankie Montas from the Oakland Athletics. The Yankees know this is a year that they could win the World Series, and they will be all in.

Seattle was active at the deadline landing Luis Castillo in a trade from the Reds. Castillo was the top arm on the market, and Seattle wasted no time swooping in and landing him. That move showed the league that the Mariners are all in.

The Mariners had a rough start to their season, but in July, they were one of the best teams in baseball. The hot run by Seattle has them up as a playoff team via the Wild Card. They currently are tied with Tampa for the second Wild Card playoff spot, and they hold a one-game lead over the Guardians. The next two months will be fun to see if Seattle can hold on and break their postseason drought.

The Yankees jumped out to a 5-1 lead yesterday after Aaron Judge hit yet another home run. The Yankees never looked back and rolled to a game one victory. Tonight Seattle sends Logan Gilbert to the bump to try and even the series. Opposing Gilbert will be Jameson Taillon. 

I am going with a prop for tonight. I will be taking Logan Gilbert to get over 17.5 outs. I love the line we are getting on Gilbert tonight, who is one of the best young arms in the game. Gilbert was a top-of-the-line prospect and has shown why this season. Logan has gone over this number in three of his last four and with relative ease. This is an aggressive Yankees lineup, so I do not expect his pitch count to get all that high. If he has control of his stuff tonight and avoids walks, we will cash this bet in. Gilbert has some of the best stuff in baseball, and I trust that will be on display tonight. We have been killing these props. Let’s stay hot!
