Well the Chicago Cubs did not decide to dump either of the guys Matt and I mentioned on the show yesterday but that still did not stop them from dropping game one of this series 6-0 in St. Louis. Tonight I am looking to back the birds at home again once more and I think it’s another great spot for us to do so. let's dive into my prediction, pick, and odds for the Cubs vs. Cardinals game.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs Prediction
Justin Steele takes the mound for the Cubs and I love fading the man in most situations as is. Give me the Cardinals against this southpaw and I am ecstatic. In 37 PAs so far they have put up a .324 batting average and .379 wOBA while striking out just 8.1% of the time. It’s not a huge sample size by the Cardinals love to mash lefties and the stars align in this one here tonight.
Not only is it a home game but a rivalry game and the biggest one for the guys personally. Goldschmidt, Arenado, and Co. should lead the charge and the team is sporting a .779 OPS against southpaws this season. They are also 8-3 against them in their last eleven at Busch.
Miles Mikolas has really been terrific for St. Louis this season but has just gotten shafted a few times, to be honest. He is not the ace but has top-notch stuff and when he is on I love him on the bump. Tonight should be a good outing for him with a strong, healthy Cardinals lineup hitting behind him and momentum on their side.
