You know I like this one because I rarely go away from my typical 1u bets. This being plus money just doesn’t make sense. Springs is the type of pitcher who could legitimately get pulled early for no reason. Springs has only gone 90+ pitches twice in his last five games. Tampa doesn’t like this guy going late into games which will limit how many outs this guy can even record. I know lately betting on or against the Tigers has been brutal but with my law of averages mindset, I think we’re due to win one.

Tigers hit lefties well. They are not a good team but they specialize in doing that well. Detroit hits .269 against southpaws and the more hits they get the more likely Springs gets pulled and we run up his pitch count. Springs has started in 13 games and has hit this prop for us in 10 of those starts. He has only recorded 17+ outs three times. For plus odds and a 77% hit rate, this is worth bumping up to a 1.5u play.
Another amazing factor that is worth addressing is the weather. We could legitimately see these teams play for a few innings and the game gets delayed due to a thunderstorm. If they wait out the storm and finish the game it is unlikely that Springs would even come back in to pitch so we could get gifted a free win if mother nature helps us out tonight. Storms are in the forecast and there's an hour of game time where it should clear up before it starts raining again. Either way, though I like this bet and would play it for normal odds let alone plus odds. A rare non-1u play, let's go Tigers!
