This bet has cashed time after time, why stop now? Justin Verlander might be 39 years old but the man is pitching some of the best baseball of his career. He has a 1.81 ERA on the season and leagues the majors with 14 recorded wins. Getting 14 wins in 19 starts is absolutely insane and I think he could make that 15/20 tonight.
He weirdly enough even seems to be even better on the road with a 1.72 ERA. He plays a former division rival of his in Cleveland and they have very limited experience with him with their new names.

The only man who should have any experience against Verlander in the lineup is Jose Ramirez. With the lack of experience against JV, I’m expecting them to struggle to figure him out due to never seeing him.
When we’ve applied this logic in the past, it has worked more times than not. The advantage will go to the pitcher when there’s less history. Verlander has only allowed 4 runs over his last 6 games. In these 6 games, he has 41.2 innings pitched. The man is on fire and I see no reason to stop backing him. Cleveland does hit righties significantly better than lefties but JV isn't your average guy.
What put me over the top of making this play were the factors that weren’t Verlander. The Astros have the top bullpen in terms of ERA with a 2.76 and if Verlander leaves the game with the lead he should be in safe hands. Also, Zach Plesac is on the mound for the Guardians and his worst start of the year was against Houston. In his lone game against them this year he allowed seven runs. The only other time he played Houston he allowed 4 runs. He has allowed 11 runs in just 40 at-bats and if that trend continues then that should really help JV secure win number 15. Let's roll!
