Wednesday MLB Picks (8/4): A +143 Hit Parlay From an Expert Who's Been on Fire

The Hall of Fame game is tonight, and while I cannot wait to see some actual football played, the prospect of watching Jake Luton vs. Jarrett Stidham helped bring me back down to the earth.

We still have a good amount of baseball to be played tonight, so let’s get another hit builder worked up – this time at +143 odds.

Thursday MLB Hit Parlay: +143 (Bet $100 to Win $143)

Alec Bohm (PHI) to get a hit (-360)

If you’re looking for a pitcher to target on tonight’s slate, look no further than Paolo Espino of the Washington Nationals. The guy has basically been handing out home runs left and right, and with the wind blowing out to center, should continue tonight. We just need one hit from Bohm, who has at least one hit in 8 of his last 10 games – including 7 multi-hit games.

Paul Goldschmidt (STL) to get a hit (-260)

I get it that at this point Goldy seems like a broken record, but the guy gets it done, and we can’t fault him for that. Goldschmidt hit a dinger earlier today, and has another mouth-watering match-up. He is facing a righty who gives up power, and Goldy bats .463 off righties. -260 seems very fair here, even on the second end of a double-header.

Xander Bogaerts (BOS) to get a hit (-260)

Bogaerts gets a lefty tonight, and that should mean good things for him. He bats .392 off left-handed pitchers, and Kris Bubic of the Royals is on the bump. Bogaerts has a hit in 8 of his last 10 games, so I like him to continue that tonight.
