White Sox vs Rangers Line Movement

Chicago White Sox vs Texas Rangers Prediction

The White Sox have had an extremely disappointing season. They came into this season as heavy favorites to win the AL Central and simply haven’t lived up to the hype. This has partly been due to a number of injuries to key players but now they are finally starting to get healthy and return to full strength for one last push down the stretch.

Tonight, the White Sox will have one of their best lineups of the entire season. Anderson, Robert, Jimenez, Vaughn, and Moncada are all key contributors for this team who have missed time, but now, they are all finally healthy and hitting in succession in this lineup. I also believe they are due for some positive regression after a poor performance last night.

They will be facing Glen Otto, who is a very solid young prospect with an electric arm. Otto’s main problem this season has been his inability to be productive at home. He comes into this game with a 2-3 record and a staggering 7.39 ERA at home. When you compare those numbers to his respectable 4.02 ERA on the road, you can see there is a clear discomfort level for him when pitching in his home ballpark. On the other side for the White Sox tonight will be Dylan Cease who is making his best case for a late-season push to win the AL Cy Young.

Cease has been one of the best pitchers in the entire league over the past few months and he has not allowed more than 1 earned run since late May. Cease has also been very comfortable pitching on the road as he has compiled a 6-1 record with an impeccable 1.30 ERA away from home this season. With that being said, I am trusting Cease and the White Sox tonight and rolling with the Sox.
