Reds vs. Brewers Line Movement

Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction

The Reds come into this series with a new team since these two met. The Reds moved on from Tommy Pham along with Brandon Drury over the tread deadline. Pham and Drury have been two of the best bats for the Reds this season.

The team will now give some younger players chances and start to look ahead to the future. This is a team that made a ton of moves in the off-season, showing that this would be a rebuilding year. They most notably traded starting pitcher Luis Castillo but got back a great package of prospects. The new-look Reds will look to pull off the upset tonight against the first-place Brewers.

The Brewers are still in first place but they are ice cold at the moment. They enter play losing four games in a row and three of them coming to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Brew Crew will look to bounce back today at home against this Reds team.

Milwaukee shocked the league when they traded all-star closer, Josh Hader. It is rare to see a first-place team deal their best bullpen arm at the deadline. This move was quickly questioned as Devin Williams gave up a walk-off home run two nights ago against the Pirates, and yesterday, the Brewers blew a lead in the 10th inning to lose. They have been walked off back-to-back days since the Hader trade.

Despite them being cold at the moment, I am backing the Brewers and sipping on a little bit of juice here. I typically do not play this much juice, but when I have this line closer to -250, I have to take it.

The Brewers just lost four games in a row to a bad team, and now they play another bad team at home. The Reds have a few guys in the lineup that are not MLB hitters, and their starting pitcher tonight, Robert Dugger, is not a Central division arm. This is a game that the Brewers bats should break out and cruise to a victory. I believe we will see them roll tonight in the perfect get-me-right spot.
