Well, this evening we are heading to St. Louis, and guys I am so amped up for this weekend series. The Yankees and Cardinals are not only just two of baseball’s best, but they are also two of the most beloved teams and historic in the history of the sport. I retweeted something earlier but if you missed it I’ll reiterate. These fan bases are diehard and when you combine the amount of World Series titles held by the Birds on the Bat and the guys in Pinstripes it tallies up to 38. They hold a third of the leagues' championship titles between themselves and have played each other for five of them. Let's get into my prediction, pick, and odds for the Cardinals vs Yankees.

St. Louis Cardinals vs New York Yankees Prediction
These two squads do not meet often but when they do it tends to be electric and I am expecting an amazing atmosphere at Busch Stadium tonight. The Cardinals are now the leaders in the NL Central but by a slim margin and I am sure they do not want to give that lead-up right away but they face a tough task in the Yankees this weekend. I really do not need to talk about how good both of these teams are in-depth, you all are aware.
The farewell season for the Cardinal veterans continues and the crowds will keep expecting great baseball. Harrison Bader was a fan favorite in the Lou and was just traded at the deadline to the Yankees so he will also be making his return to St. Louis tonight. This is a regular season game in August but I am telling you all it will feel like more.
Both lineups are lethal and I feel they are more than capable of getting after these arms on the mound tonight. Nestor Cortes is a fine starting pitcher but St. Louis has been and continues to hammer southpaws so I am sure they are going to be on him tonight. Dakota Hudson returns to the mound for the Birds and I do like him. He has been solid and I think he can keep St. Louis in this one with a good outing but I do expect the Yankees to tag him for some runs.
I think you guys should watch this game if you can because it is shaping up to be a damn good opener to this series. I think both these squads put runs on the board tonight and cash the total for us as they did in the previous three straight and St. Louis to stick around if not win game one outright.
