Texas Rangers vs Chicago White Sox Prediction

The Rangers won games one and three sandwiched in between a win by the Sox in game two. The Sox offense has struggled in this series, and they will look to turn things around today when they face Spencer Howard. The Sox have had a Jekel and Hyde kind of season to this point. This is one of the most talented teams on paper, and nobody will want to see Chicago if they can slip into a playoff spot.

The season has been up and down for the Rangers, who likely will not be a playoff need barring a miracle. Texas was aggressive in the off-season, landing stars in Corey Seager and Marcus Semien. They also addressed some starting pitching issues when they signed Jon Gray. The season just has not gone their way, but a huge reason is not winning close games. Nobody in the MLB has a worse record than the Ranger in one-run games this year. They are hoping that their fortunes change moving forward.

Today we will see Lucas Giolito toe the rubber for the Sox. Giolito was an all-star for the Sox last season but has not had that same luck carry over this year. He has been up and down all season long. However, the Sox remains confident in his stuff and that he will turn things around. Spencer Howard will get the nod for the Rangers. 

I am backing the Sox on the money line today. This should be a great spot for Chicago to salvage the series. I trust Giolito much more than I trust Howard today. Howard is one of the worst starters in my baseball and my eyes and remains an auto fade. This is a Sox lineup that should have a field day against him today. If the Sox bats can get going and give Giolito a lead, then we should cruise to a victory here. The Sox will bring a focused effort today and cash in for us.
