Baltimore Orioles vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction: Expect Plenty of Offense
The Toronto Blue Jays face the Baltimore Orioles for the second game of the series tonight. Last night we saw the Orioles pick up a 7-4 win. With Alek Manoah making the start for Toronto and Kyle Bradish pitching for Baltimore, we could see a different result tonight. Let's get into my prediction, pick, and odds for the Orioles vs Blue Jays game.

Baltimore Orioles vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction
In August, we've seen the Orioles go 6-1. In these games, Baltimore has scored an average of 5.14 runs per game, with the over hitting 5-1-1. The Blue Jays made a dominant return from the All-Star break but haven't fared as well so far this month. So far this season, we've seen the Jays and Orioles face each other five times, with the Orioles winning three of the five. More importantly, we've seen the over cash in all of these games.
The Blue Jays' offense currently holds the highest batting average in the league (0.265) and comes in third in both OPS (0.764) and average runs scored per game (4.81). The Orioles' Kyle Bradish should present himself as an easy target for the Jays to redeem themselves after last night's loss. Bradish holds a 6.55 ERA, and six of his last seven starts have gone over. He already faced the Blue Jays in Toronto earlier this season and surrendered five earned runs in just 4.1 innings. He's much worse against right-handed batters, as evidenced by his 0.361 BAA, which lends another advantage to this Toronto lineup only consisting of righties.
The Orioles face their most challenging opponent as of late in Alek Manoah, and he's my only area of concern for this total tonight. Manoah has an impressive 2.45 ERA and pitched six scoreless innings against the Orioles this season, in which he only allowed a single hit. While this alone would be enough to keep me away from this over, the way the Orioles have played lately gives me faith that they'll at least contribute a few runs.
The over has at least pushed twelve consecutive games that these teams have played, dating back to last season. I expect most of the runs to come from the Blue Jays' offense, but I'd still be shocked to see the Orioles walk away from tonight's game empty-handed. I'll take advantage of this trend and relatively low total at 8.5 and take the over.
