The White Sox came into the year heavily favored to win the AL Central. They have not been able to get on that hot run this year, but they are just a couple of games out of a playoff spot. If this team can get hot, they will be one of the most dangerous teams in the playoffs. They also have a staff that is made up of a lot of good arms.

One of those arms will be the man getting the rock today. Dylan Cease may have been the biggest all-star snub in the past decade. Cease is currently the third favorite to win the AL Cy young, and for a good reason. He enters this game supporting an ERA of 1.98. He has allowed just twenty-seven earned runs in 122.2 innings pitched. Cease has not allowed more than one run since May 24th. That is an insane stat. In his last five starts, he has allowed just two earned runs.

Opposing Cease will be veteran Zack Grenkie. Greinke is past his prime, but he has put together a notable career doing most of his work in Kansas City. Greinke comes into this game with a record of 3-7 and an ERA of 4.58.

I will be backing the Sox on the -1 line today. I have two words for this pick. Dylan Cease. He has been the best pitcher in the MLB since June, and now he is facing a poor Royals lineup.

He should easily dominate this game, giving the Sox a chance to roll today. If the Sox can plate four or five runs, I believe this is an easy winner. This is a loaded Sox lineup that should be able to get to Greinke today. Grenkie has been a solid fade this season and will be again tonight. Let’s stay red hot and cash in!
