Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees Prediction

The New York Yankees battle the Boston Red Sox taking place from one of the most famous ballparks in baseball Fenway Park for game two of this longtime rivalry. This is one of the most historic rivalries in all of baseball, and every time these two teams play, no matter their records, these games are always ones I try to sit down and watch. One thing is for sure these two teams have no love for each other. They are two of the most storied franchises in the spot and always get up to play each other.

The Yankees have been the much more impressive team this season, representing one of the best records in all of baseball. The Yankees have come back to Earth in the last month but remain one of the best teams in the game. The recent cold stretch has some fans worried, but during a long season, these runs are bound to happen. They still have a comfortable ten-game lead in the division as we approach mid-August.

The Sox have had a tough season. They have had runs where they looked like the best team in baseball and runs where they looked like a little league team. They are currently sitting four games out of the final Wild Card spot in the American League, so they have a lot of life if they can get hot. Tonight we will see Frankie Montas toe the rubber for the Yankees. Opposing Montas will be Kutter Crawford.

I am all over the Yankees in this spot tonight. Montas got lit up in his first start as a Yankee, and I fully trust he will bounce back tonight. Montas is a top-tier arm, and the majority of this Boston lineup does not strike fear into me. After his brutal first start, he will be sharp tonight. The Yankees offense should get loose against Crawford, who comes into this game with an ERA of 4.30. I have not been impressed with his stuff this season, and against a lineup as good as New York is, I believe he will struggle and give up runs tonight. When it comes to the bullpen, I give a large advantage to the Yankees as well.
