Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals Prediction

The Twins enter this game cold as of late, going 1-4 over their last five games, including a pair of losses to the Angels. This will be a big series for them as they fight for first place in the Central, and now they face a team that is in full rebuild mode.

The Twins surprised many in the league with their great first half of the season, but they have come back to life in the second half. Despite struggling so far in the late months of summer, they have an excellent opportunity to make the playoffs.

The Twins were pretty aggressive at the deadline adding starting pitching help and a closer in Jorge Lopez. Lopez was an all-star for the Orioles and will look to continue his success in Minnesota. The Royals knew coming into the year this would be a long season. They traded multiple pieces on this team and have turned their attention to the future. They have some exciting young players that they are giving a lot of opportunity to now. One of those guys is Bobby Witt Jr, who has been outstanding this year. This guy has more tools than a boy band and will be the future of the Royals.

Tonight we will see Joe Ryan toe the rubber for the Twins. Opposing Ryan will be southpaw Kris Bubic. 

I am all in on the Twins tonight. They are 1-4 over their last five, and now they return home vs. one of the worst teams in baseball. That means this should be the perfect bounce-back spot Today. The Twins are the much better team with the much better arm. I am not going to overcomplicate things here. Minnesota also has so much more to play for and should be well focused on bouncing back with a win tonight. They should be able to rock Bubic early, a guy who enters play with an era north of five. Joe Ryan will handle this limited Royals lineup, and we will cruise to a victory.
