Chicago White Sox vs. Houston Astros Prediction

This is the best pitching matchup I’ve arguably seen all year, we get the treat of watching Justin Verlander vs Dylan Cease. Both pitchers here should dominate and this game's projected total of just 7 runs reflects that. Last time out vs the White Sox we saw Verlander struggle and allow 4 earned runs, that shouldn’t happen again and even if it does as long as it doesn’t take place in the 2nd inning then that plays into our favor with the juice reducer. The NRSI still hit in that game anyways so if the same thing happens, we are clear.

Verlander is the leader in the MLB in wins with an incredible 15 wins already in mid-August, Cease is arguably the hottest pitcher in baseball right now with 1 earned run or less in 14 straight games. JV has pitched a shutout 2nd inning in 19/21 starts and Cease has only allowed 3 lifetime RBIs to these Astros bats in 41 plate appearances. We added the White Sox +5.5 just because it felt so safe in what should be a low-scoring game. Cease is on this incredible pace of 1 earned run or less, will be tough to lose by 6 or more if that streak continues.

These NRSI bets have consistently paid for us and this is a prime opportunity to hop on the wagon again for the 2nd day straight. I usually try to offer a pivot but for this market, it’s very hard to do so. I would either attempt to live bet it or possibly play the u3.5 first 5 inning total for half a unit or so. We get to likely avoid the Altuve, Yordan, Vaugn, and Jimenez scary at-bats. Both teams are deep, so we will see some talented batters in the 2nd but I feel safe with these aces on the mound to fight through for our 6 outs, let's roll!
