The San Francisco Giants have now won four straight games and are currently a game above .500 after a win over the Arizona Diamondbacks last night. With that win. the Giants are currently 5.5 games out of the final Wild Card spot in the NL. There's a chance that San Francisco can still make the postseason.

With the Giants finally back over .500, they'll send Jakob Junis to the mound for tonight's game. Junis has a 4-3 record with a 3.78 ERA on the season, which is really good for a backend starter. But to be fair, in the last 30 days analytically, Junis has a 5.03 xFIP and has allowed nearly 30% of line drives. That's going to get you in trouble sometimes.

Plus, on top of that, Junis isn't going to get a whole lot of grounders and also won't end up getting many strikeouts. You're going to see lots of balls in play, hit hard in the air.

Arizona is also very capable of hitting Junis. They have six players in their projected lineup striking out fewer than 17%. If Arizona is going to put the ball in play, there's a good chance we see hard-hit line drives.

The Diamondbacks are hitting a .168 ISO with a wOBA of .311. There are some really bad hitters in the lineup but also some good ones. Daulton Varsho, Emmanuel Rivera, Christian Walker, and Carson Kelly have all put up really good numbers against righties in the last month with inflated ISO numbers and high wOBA numbers. Arizona should be able to score some runs with this lineup against Junis.

On the other hand, the Diamondbacks will give the ball to Merrill Kelly for tonight's game. Kelly has been dominant this year as he’s got a 10-5 record with a 2.95 ERA on the season. Analytically, Kelly has been just as good too.

Kelly has an xFIP of 3.53 in the last 30 days and has earned 25.2% of strikeouts while limiting walks to under 5%. To make 50% of grounders in the last 30 days and has also allowed under 19% of line drives. This is exactly the opposite of what Junis has been doing.

The Giants' lineup has a .168 ISO and wOBA of .319 against righties in the last month. It's really been the LaMonte Wade show in this lineup. Without him leading things off, the Giants would have much worse numbers against righties. Wade is hitting a .571 ISO along with a wOBA of .485 against righties. Other than Wade, the Giants haven’t really produced consistently with their lineup. Wilmer Flores and Tommy LaStella have a little bit of potential but Arizona just has so much more to offer along with the better pitcher. Take the Diamondbacks on the road in this one.
