Atlanta Braves vs New York Mets Prediction

The Braves have got their revenge so far in this series after being dominated in Queens a couple of weeks ago. The Braves took games one and two and will look to stay hot tonight. These previous two wins have put them back in a position to win the NL East. This is around the time last year when the Braves really turned things on and would eventually go into win the World Series. They are more than capable of going on a similar run this season.

The Braves will have their toughest task of the series today when they face future hall of Famer Max Scherzer. Scherzer inked a huge contract in the offseason and has been as good as advertised for the Mets. The one-two punch of deGrom and Scherzer could be the best combo the game has ever seen.

Expectations are high in New York right now, and anything less than a World Series will feel like a disappointment this year. This is a team who has been great on both sides of the baseball and has been in control of the NL East every day this season except for one. Atlanta will give the ball to veteran Jake Odorizzi. Odorizzi has had an up and down season and will look to be sharp to help his team get a win tonight. 

I am backing the Mets on the money line. They are looking to avoid three straight losses against the Braves and have Scherzer on the mound, which is good enough for me. Odorizzi has been very hittable this season, and I believe he will struggle in this game today. The Mets' offense has been held down in games one and two, but they are too good of an offense not to get things going. This Mets team has made us a lot of money and will come thru and do it again tonight.
