Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles Prediction

The Baltimore Orioles battle the Toronto Blue Jays taking place from the six for game three of this AL East affair. The Orioles have controlled the first two games of this series and will look to close it out strong with a win today. These wins have put them just a 0.5 game out of a playoff position. The team that they are trailing for that playoff position happens to be the Blue Jays.

Toronto is the much more talented team, but they have struggled when it comes to beating the O's this season. Baltimore has shocked the league with their dominant play this year and has been adopted as America's team. Who would not love to see the Orioles make the playoffs? This is a team that was projected to finish in the basement of the American League. They will have some work to do, but their chances are good.

Toronto has struggled as of late, and it would be a massive disappointment if they were not able to make the postseason. They will need to take care of business starting today and then get on a run. This is a team that has been in the playoffs for the majority of the season, but with a loss today, the Orioles are in, and the Jays are out. The Jays send veteran Ross Stripling to the bump to try and stop the bleeding today. Opposing him will be Austin Voth. 

I am all in on a Jays bounce back today. Austin Voth has been a great fade the last couple of years, and despite his 3-1 record, he comes into this game with an ERA north of 5.30. Voth should get touched up by this Jays lineup which is one of the best in baseball. I expect Stripling to be solid here and give them a very good chance to win. He should not have to be great, just good, and they will win and cover this line. This is a massive game for the Jays, and if they get swept on their home field, I would be shocked.
