San Francisco Giants vs Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction
This market overall has been very profitable for us and there’s no denying that second innings are notoriously lower scoring than the first inning. That will especially ring true for these two teams who have lackluster offenses. These two pitchers faced off on July 27th and the second inning was six up and six down, no one reached base. Webb is 2-0 on blanking Arizona in the second this year and Gallen is also 2-0 against the Giants.
We added Giants +4.5 as a juice reducer which feels safe. The Giants have covered this line in 23/24 of Logan Webbs starts with the only miss being against the Dodgers. The Diamondbacks' offense can’t hold a candle to the Dodgers so I feel pretty safe with our juice reducer. The second inning hasn’t been scored in at all these series and tonight seems like a low-scoring night with a mere seven-run total. Gallen and Webb are both great pitchers and should put up plenty of zeros tonight.
Logan Webb is particularly good at home having a 2.71 ERA over the course of 13 home games. Gallen is about the same pitcher at home and on the road and he’s solid either way. Gallen has just under a 3 ERA and is significantly better during day games. In eight-day games, he has just a 1.89 ERA compared to the 3.59 he holds in night games. All signs point to this game being a snooze fest which plays in our favor. Webb dominates at home, Gallen dominates during the day and these pitchers both have perfect hit rates against the other team, what's not to like?
