Twins vs. Rangers Line Movement

Minnesota Twins vs. Texas Rangers Prediction

At first glance, I leaned Texas on the money line more than anything here. But, after diving into the matchup and some splits a bit further, I found an angle I like even more. Part of the reason I liked Texas straight up was Martin Perez having the ball for them tonight. The southpaw has had a breakout season and has been one of the best in the rotation for them all season long. Perez in sporting a 9-3 record and 2.79 ERA on the season. I do expect him to throw well tonight, however, Minnesota does have his number a bit.

In 116 PA, the Twins are sporting a slash line of .276/.351/.503 for a strong .855 OPS at a large sample size. I expect him to throw well but that is a split I do not want to ignore, the Twins should tag him for a few at minimum.

On the other side of the matchup is Dylan Bundy, who I am willing to fade on any day ending in Y. To make matters even better, the splits I have show the Rangers have hit him hard in the past as well. The slash line is better in all three categories and the OPS comes out to a strong .871.

These teams met in July and all three games went over and saw north of eleven runs. I am buying the hook and biting on this over here tonight.
