If you don’t like playing juice you can play Tigers down to u5.5 or u4.5 but we’re going extra conservative here. This bet feels really good and the game's total of just 6.5 feels like such a good indicator that this should hit. We will be luckily avoiding both Ohtani and Trouts at bat making this a NRSI and not a NRFI and it gives ERod an inning to shake off the rust in his first start back in 3+ months.

Tigers score the fewest runs in baseball averaging 3.18 per game so asking for 7+ against a pitcher of Ohtani’s caliber is asking for a lot. We just need ERod to get three outs against the Angels that aren’t their top two stars and Ohtani to do his job against the worst offense in the MLB. After the NRSI hits, we just can’t let the Tigers hit the over by themselves which is incredibly unlikely. A storm may be coming to Detroit around 3-4 as well so this game has the potential to be called early and that makes scoring seven runs even that much tougher.
Angels could have a rally in the first inning against a rusty ERod and we could very well see Rodriguez go against the end of the lineup and have some very favorable matchups. Ohtani has only allowed lifetime RBIs to these Tigers bats in 37 plate appearances. This game has a 6.5 total and the Angels are near -200 favorites, the Tigers are implied to score 2-3 runs at most, I like our chances here. Lets keep this short and sweet because it’s a day game and we want the most people to get it in.
