MLB Parlay Picks (+810) (Bet $100 to win $810)

  • Mets (+110)
  • Padres -1.5 (-130)
  • Marlins (+145)

The Mets will send out Jose Butto to the mound. It'll be his Major League debut. He's going up against a Phillies lineup that has struggled against righties, to begin with, hitting a .131 ISO along with a wOBA of .292 in the last 30 days. As you get farther down the order, the lineup gets weaker and weaker. Meanwhile, the Mets' projected lineup is hitting a 185 ISO with a wOBA of .377 against righties. They'll take on Kyle Gibson, who's allowed over 23% of line drives. New York had the edge as underdogs here. We're going to fade Patrick Corbin here. The Padres have been terrible offensively against lefties but it seems like most offenses get out of their slumps when they face Corbin. On the other hand, Sean Manaea has actually pitched well lately, holding an above-average xFIP, strikeout rate, and walk rate in the last 30 days. I've got the Padres winning big today.

I'll risk it. Ryan Pepiot has a 7.81 xFIP in the last 30 days and has earned just 8.3% of ground balls in that time frame. If the Marlins can give me three runs, I think that'll be enough with Sandy Alcantara on the mound. Alcantara will easily be the NL Cy Young winner and has been electric, going deep in so many games this season. The Marlins can really steal this one from the Dodgers on the road.

MLB Total Runs Parlay Picks (+662) (Bet $100 to win $662)

  • Angels vs. Tigers Under 6.5 (-105)
  • Mariners vs. Athletics Under 6.5 (+100)
  • Brewers vs. Cubs Under 7 (-105)

Eduardo Rodriguez missed most of the season due to personal issues after signing a massive contract with Detroit in the offseason. He's back after a long absence and if everything is behind him and he's mentally prepared, Rodriguez should get back to pitching like himself again. After all, he's taking on an Angels lineup that has struggled so much throughout the season. Yes, Mike Trout is back, but the rest of the lineup, minus Shohei Ohtani, hasn't done anything. On the other hand, Ohtani will get the start against the Tigers. The Tigers are the worst offense in baseball. I'm on the under.

Luis Castillo will make another start for the Mariners. He has a 3.27 xFIP in the last 30 days with 29.9% of strikeouts and 6.5% of walks. He's been extremely good for Seattle. He's allowed some power to lefties but the only lefty who can do any damage is Seth Brown in the A's lineup. Meanwhile, J.P. Sears will get the call for the Athletics. He's been keeping line drives down and rarely giving up extra-base hits since coming over from the Yankees. Seattle has struggled to hit lefties, so this is a great spot to take the under.

The Cubs have really done well with the development of Justin Steele. He has an xFIP below 3 in the last 30 days with high strikeouts and low walks. He's taking on a Brewers lineup that has been pretty bad against lefties in the last 30 days with plenty of strikeouts. On the other hand, Brandon Woodruff has looked really good in the second half of the season and should be able to keep Chicago from getting on the board throughout the game. Both of these pitchers have the potential to put together quality starts. I'll take the under.
