Dodgers vs. Brewers Line Movement

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction

We've got a left-handed battle tonight between Eric Lauer of the Brewers and Julio Urias of the Dodgers.

Lauer is currently 8-5 on the season with a 3.58 ERA. He's been a nice surprise this year for the Brewers. However, in the last 30 days, the analytics aren't agreeing with his basic stats.

In the last 30 days, Lauer has had a 5.59 xFIP with just 18.9% of strikeouts and 11.5% of walks. He's allowed 22.4% of line drives and has induced just 34.1% of ground balls. Oddly enough, lefties are doing the most damage, hitting a .394 wOBA and ISO of .188 against Lauer in their last 19 plate appearances.

Lauer has mainly pitched against righties in the last 30 days and has looked good against them.

The Dodgers, on the other hand, are only hitting a .188 ISO with a wOBA of .321 against lefties in the last 30 days with their projected order. Mookie Betts and Trea Turner have been consistently good against lefties but other than that, the lineup has struggled.

On the other hand, Julio Urias will take the hill for the Dodgers. He got a 13-6 record with a 2.40 ERA on the season. In the last 30 days, he's holding a 3.81 xFIP with 24.8% of strikeouts and just 3.4% of walks.

On top of that, Urias has earned 44% of grounders and has allowed just 16.7% of line drives in the last 30 days. That has helped his case. He's also been able to minimize extra-base hits and hasn't allowed many runners on base.

Milwaukee is hitting a .141 ISO with a wOBA of .277 against lefties in the last 30 days with their projected lineup. They've also struck out 32.3% of the time against lefties in that time frame.

Look for Urias to below plenty of pitches by this Brewers lineup. The Dodgers will win this one by double digits.
