Twins vs Rangers Line Movement

Minnesota Twins vs Texas Rangers Prediction

The Rangers are fresh off back-to-back wins over the Twins and they will look to win three in a row tonight. It has been a frustrating year for Texas as they have fired their coach and other members of the organization. They made headlines in the off-season by inking contracts with all-stars Marcus Semien and Corey Seager. They also added some starting pitching help by signing Jon Gray from the Rockies. Their moves have not worked out and they will not be a playoff team this season.

Minnesota came into the year not slated to be a postseason team but they are right in the thick of things at the moment. They had a great first half of the season setting themselves up for a chance to go on a run in the summer. They have regressed a bit in the second half but sit just 1.5 games out of the division lead and 2.5 out of a wildcard position. This is one of the best lineups in baseball when they are healthy and could be a problem for opponents in October. The most notable move of their off-season was signing former World Series champion Carlos Correa. The trio of Correa. Buxton and Arraez are about as lethal as any in baseball.

Tonight the Twins will hand the ball to veteran right-hander Sonny Gray. Opposing Gray will be southpaw Cole Ragans.

I am backing the Twins on the -1 line tonight. I would be shocked if the Twins lost three games in a row at home against a team like Texas. The Twins have a large advantage tonight on the mound with Sonny Gray getting the ball. I trust that Gray can go out tonight and shut down this Texas lineup. Ragans has been a solid fade so far and Minnesota will have a lot of matchup advantages at the dish tonight.

This is a pivotal game for the Twins who need to get back on track with a win tonight. We are getting a much better line than we should so let’s take advantage!

Minnesota Twins vs Texas Rangers Pick
