Cardinals vs. Braves Line Movement

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Atlanta Braves Prediction

I know this won’t be available everywhere, but DraftKings offering this feels like such a steal. Jose Quintana is on the mound for the Cardinals and he has struggled mightily against some of the Braves bats throughout his career. In 91 at-bats by these Atlanta bats, he has allowed 25 hits which is good for a .274 average. More importantly, he has allowed 16 RBIs in those at-bats, so he is struggling to get out of those jams. The Braves are batting .264 against lefties on the year and should continue to find success against a familiar foe.

Quintana has allowed 2+ earned runs in 12 of his last 17 games which is good for his over 70% hit rate. Vegas projects him to go exactly 5 innings as his “outs” prop is juiced on the under at 15.5 outs. His earned runs allowed prop is juice on the over at 2.5, getting the Braves team total for the first 5 a complete run lower than Quintana's prop feels like a mega steal. The Braves have crushed this guy and have especially made lefties look foolish all year long I will not allow the 7 run total to scare me off here, I believe that total is because Spencer Strider is a stud and starting for Atlanta.

Atlanta has scored 2+ runs in the first 5 innings in 8 of their last 10 games. This prop is worth the juice we will spend to win our unit. This is truly a no-brainer in every sense. I usually like to offer a pivot and for this one, it’s not so straightforward. I would like to avoid facing the Cardinals' bats so let's stay focused on the Braves offense. If you cannot bet on the first 5 team totals, I think my favorite pivot would be o3.5 team total for Atlanta. The Cardinals have the 16th-ranked bullpen and the Braves have had games where they start slow and finish hot. We’ve been crushing baseball and remaining very picky, let's keep this hot streak alive! Let's roll!
