Chicago White Sox vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Odds, Pick, Prediction: Can Merrill Kelly Dominate White Sox?
The White Sox host the Diamondbacks for game two of the series after dropping game one 2-7. The White Sox have now lost three home games in a row and are 1-4 over their last five games. Josh Rojas and Emmanuel Rivera had an enormous effort in yesterday's win, tallying five combined RBIs. Rojas also helped turn two double plays to help out on defense. The White Sox will now need to win this game to have a shot at taking the series, which they need to stay relevant in the playoff picture in the AL Central. Can they bounce back from the loss yesterday? Come find out in my pick, prediction, and odds for the White Sox vs. Diamondbacks.

Chicago White Sox vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction
Davis Martin will start on the mound for the White Sox. Martin has floated between the bullpen and starting rotation but overall has not had much success this season. He is 2-3 with a 4.25 ERA on the season, and the White Sox are 1-3 in his starts.
His numbers are worse when he starts, as he allows a .253 batting average when he starts and a .231 batting average out of the bullpen. Martin will need to be on point because the White Sox have a few key offensive pieces that will miss this game.
Luis Robert will miss this game, as he is day-to-day with a wrist injury, and Tim Anderson is still out on the IL with a finger injury. Yoan Moncada and Yasmani Grandal are also out, but have less impact than the former two. The White Sox are banged up, which showed in their two-run effort yesterday. They will have their hands full again against Merrill Kelly.
Merrill Kelly has been excellent this season and is among some of the top pitchers with the lowest ERA. Kelly's 2.49 road ERA is the 9th lowest in the MLB, and he has a 7-1 pitching record on the road. Kelly is only allowing 1.6 runs per start on the road and is coming off a seven-inning shutout on the road against the Giants last time out. In fact, Kelly has given up just one run in his previous 20 innings on the road with starts against the Giants, Braves, and Padres. Kelly has been an ace for the desert snakes along with Zac Gallen, and I expect him to produce again today against a banged-up White Sox squad.
The Diamondbacks have a fully healthy lineup right now and have their best road pitcher on the mound today. The White Sox are dealing with key injuries and have a shaky starter on the mound. The Diamondbacks are the second-most profitable team in the MLB at covering the first-half run line on the road behind the Astros, and the White Sox are 23-39 on the first-half run line at home. I'm taking the Diamondbacks to take care of business once again on the road as a successful first-half team.
