I haven’t been on the Tigers to do good things in a long time, it’s almost a curse. Today is the day that curse ends. We have profited in 7 straight slates and I feel like it’s because we’re not overanalyzing the board and we’re just taking the obvious selections. Dallas Keuchel is on the mound for Texas, Dallas freaking Keuchel. This guy and Patrick Corbin often have competitions of who we like to fade more, it’s truly incredible watching this guy pitch at such a poor level and keep finding employment.
Keuchel has already pitched against the stinky Tigers bats this year and he still allowed 4 runs in 4.1 innings pitched. We only need half of that and he will cash us. Keuchel has allowed 2+ runs in the first 5 innings in 10/12 starts and has allowed 48 earned runs in 50.2 innings pitched. This guy almost allows a run per inning, he is the GOAT of auto fades. I never like backing my Tigers but this is a time if there ever will be. They have struggled lately against any type of pitcher but still bat .261 on the season against lefties.
Keuchel is making his debut for Texas tonight after pitching with both the White Sox and Diamondbacks this season. Putting on a new jersey won’t give him magical abilities to return to his 2020 form. Keuchel is a guy I will fade every time he pitches until he makes us look dumb multiple times in a row which is yet to happen. This number should definitely be 2.5 and I will gladly drink juice at 1.5. If you don't have this market I would take either the Tigers full game team total or the first 5 tigers +0.5. It’s a true coin flip between those two but try to get my initial bet. DraftKings is widely available.
