I know what you’re thinking, this team just lost 12-0 yesterday and now we’re gonna drink juice betting on them? Shortly put, yes. I love backing good teams after being embarrassed, it’s been a staple of my betting all year and it has paid dividends for us. Today should be a pitcher's duel between Alek Manoah and Shohei Ohtani. I see us having the edge here though. Even if each pitcher matches each other we have the better bullpen to close the door for us.

Ohtani has struggled against these Toronto bats throughout his career. In 65 at-bats he has allowed 23 hits which is good for a .353 average. More importantly, he has allowed 13 RBIs to these batters. 13 RBIs in 65 at-bats equates to one RBI allowed in every 5 at-bats on average. Although that will be difficult for Toronto to maintain, we can win this bet in a low-scoring game thanks to the brilliance of Alek Manoah. People will see Ohtani is pitching for the Angels and the score last night and blindly tail LA today, I believe in the bounce back.

Manoah will be needed for a good outing today and I think he can do just that. Manoah is sporting a 2.66 ERA and has already played against the Angels twice in the past two years. The Blue Jays won both games and should do the same today. Toronto is playing meaningful baseball and the Angels are 20 games under .500. I wouldn’t expect the team with no playoff hopes to win two in a row against the team with an added incentive. I’m not giving a pivot here because there is absolutely no way we move this line. If we move a moneyline bet then there is something seriously strange going on.
