St. Louis Cardinals vs. Atlanta Braves Prediction
The Braves had a sluggish start to the season, but they have been red hot over the last few months. The Braves are defending champs who are playing with supreme confidence heading into the month of September. They will be in a fight the rest of the summer with the Mets to win the NL East.
The Cardinals have been the hottest team in baseball over the last month. This is a top-five offense in baseball in my eyes, and they are a team that nobody wants to run into come the playoffs. The Cardinals currently hold a comfortable lead in the NL Central, and they will look to expand on that tonight.
The Cards will send veteran Adam Wainwright to the mound to try and win the series tonight. Wainwright has had a great season to this point. Opposing Wainwright will be fellow veteran Jake Odorizzi. Odorizzi has been up and down this season and will have a tough assignment against the Cardinals tonight.
I will be backing the Cardinals on the money line tonight. This should be a great spot with Wainwright on the mound. He is the much better arm here, and I trust that he will be able to limit this Braves lineup. I am happy to fade Odorizzi tonight as I trust that the Cardinals bats can get going early on.
