I know the juice is massive but this number sucks. Not for us but for whoever made this line, they may be out of a job soon. Irvin has allowed sic hits or below in 18/23 games. This prop has hit in 10 of his last 11 starts with the only miss coming against the Astros, a much scarier opponent than Washington. This number just blows, even if he somehow allows 7+ I will know that this bet made perfect sense, let's dig into it.
Washington Nationals vs Oakland Athletics Prediction
The Nationals have 7+ hits against starting pitching only twice in their last 13 games. The team constantly has dud games where they don’t even get 7+ hits in the whole game let alone against just the starter. Irvin is a better home pitcher than a road pitcher and this game is on the road but he hits this prop in 78.2% of his starts and now faces the post-Soto Nationals, do I need to explain more?
My initial bet I placed was Irvin u3.5 earned runs last night but I woke up to it being 2.5 so I’ll bet this too because I see value here. I see Irvin pitching six innings and allowing 2-3 runs and 5-6 hits. The Nationals haven’t been hitting this number and Irvin hasn’t been allowing it, simple as that. Oaklands bullpen if fairly rested so I wouldn’t imagine Irvin should get stretched too far, a lower pitch count will pay us dividends in a market like this, let's roll!
