Well, for our second total this evening, we are diving into a matchup between two of my favorite teams in the entire league to wager on and I am excited for this one tonight. The Houston Astros are just up the road in Arlington, Texas this evening getting ready to do battle with the Texas Rangers.
The Astros are the lead contender coming out of the AL this season in my opinion and with the talent they have and a record of 82-47 the argument is valid. Texas is not looking to make a run at the title this season but they are trending in the right direction in a loud way and I anticipate a fun to the season series in this American League West showdown. Let's get into my pick, prediction, and odds for the Astros vs Rangers game.

Texas Rangers vs. Houston Astros Prediction
Houston is the better team here, no question. I expect their bats to contribute plenty to this total and that's why I like this one at a low number again, but I expect both sides to contribute.
Dane Dunning has the ball tonight for Texas and he has been having a breakout season. I do not normally fade him, he has done well and made me a lot of money, and he is the best arm in that rotation. With that said, he is still a lefty facing one of the elite hitting teams in the league. Dunning should hold his own, but Houston has scored 31 runs against Texas in the last five meetings.
Four of the last four meetings between these two squads have gone over and all cleared it by a comfortable margin. I love totals at Globe Life Field, the weather is nice, and Texas has also cashed the total in five straight games. I am buying the hook here to get an even number but I love this one tonight.
