ANALYSIS

Cincinnati Reds vs St. Louis Cardinals Prediction, Pick: Can Goldschmidt, Arenado, and Co. Bounce Back?

Mike Minor is more than just on the back end of his career, in my opinion, he is one the way out. The once strong lefty that was a member of a lethal Atlanta rotation of the past is now one of the most fade-worthy southpaws in the league and the team behind him does him no favors. Let's dive into my pick, prediction, and odds for the Reds vs Cardinals game.

Reds vs Cardinals Line Movement

Cincinnati Reds vs St. Louis Cardinals Prediction

The elite teams in the league know that they can get after this Cincinnati team and drop a number on them if they play well. St. Louis lost last night but they put thirteen runs on the board the night before. Minor is 3-10 with a 6.10 ERA and about to square off with one of the most lethal teams against left-handed pitching in the league.   Guys like Pujols, Goldschmidt, and Arenado all feast on lefties and should provide plenty of trouble and give the birds a spark offensively to get things going. In addition to all those things lining up for St. Louis in this one, there is no better motivation to go along with it than having a hot starting pitcher on the mound on your side.   Jose Quintana has been stellar since the move from Pittsburgh at the deadline and has really settled in nicely to this rotation. Despite suffering his first loss last time out against a strong Braves team he is still 4-1 since the move and throwing the ball quite well.

Cincinnati Reds vs St. Louis Cardinals Pick

Pick: St. Louis Cardinals -1.5 -140 (Bet $140 to win $100)

Wednesday MLB Bonus Play

I don’t entirely love double dipping on baseball all the time but I love the spot for St. Louis with the momentum they are going to attempt to keep going and considering this gives me a way to back them on the money line I am going to tag this onto my card this evening as well. Tampa Bay is pushing strong to keep up in a tough division and they look like they are up to the challenge. With Drew Rasmussen on the bump tonight and the form he is in I love the parlay here.

Wednesday MLB Bonus Play

Cardinals/Rays MLP +123 (Bet $100 to win $123)
