Betting this market initially paid handsomely and then we cooled off. I still am a believer in the market and the insane discount it provides for us. We need Strider to leave with the lead, the Braves to not relinquish the lead, and for Strider to throw 5+ innings. Strider has gone 5+ innings in five of his last six games and seems to have a deeper pitch count in his last two games going 100+ two games in a row. The Braves are -365 favorites so getting this value on Strider to record a win seems incredible.
Atlanta Braves vs Colorado Rockies Prediction
We need the Braves bats to help us out and they’re an offense I can get behind. Chad Kuhl is on the mound for the Rockies and he admittedly has a good history against these Atlanta bats. He pitched six scoreless innings against them already this year but I just don't think he’s capable of replicating that performance. Kuhl has a 5.17 ERA on the year and some people would say that’s because he’s a Rockies pitcher always throwing at Coors. His ERA at home is 4.17 and his away ERA is 6.02. So we’re getting a six ERA pitcher on the road against one of the best offenses in baseball, Strider should get some run support.
The Rockies bat just .235 on the road compared to their .286 at home, they’re also considerably worse against right-handed pitching. I will gladly take this bet at these odds and trust the heavy favorites with something to play for against the team nearly 20 games under .500. Strider holds a 2.54 ERA in 14 home starts, and Kuhl has over a six. Braves have better bats and a better bullpen, let's not overthink this. Let's roll!
