ANALYSIS

Chicago White Sox vs. Kansas City Royals Odds, Pick, Prediction: Can Johnny Cueto Quiet Royals Offense?

The Kansas City Royals vs. the Chicago White Sox will clash from the south side on Thursday afternoon to wrap up their series. Chicago snapped their losing streak last night with a home win led by a string outing from veteran Lance Lynn.

They will look to close the series strong and try and build some momentum today as the month of September begins. The Sox have had a disappointing year coming into the season, slated to be one of the best teams in baseball. They look up now and realize it would take a lot of things going right to have any chance to do the postseason. They sit five games out of first place in the Central, so they will have a chance, but with just a month and some change to play, they need to heat up now. Come check out my prediction, picks, and odds for this contest.

White Sox vs. Royals Prediction

The Royals knew this would be a long and tough season, but they have been able to watch some young players play. That is key for their front office to see who will be a part of the team's future. One guy that will for sure is shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. This kid is about as impressive as any rookie and will be a joy to watch for years to come. Today, the Royals will send Daniel Mengden to the mound. Opposing him will be veteran Johnny Cueto.

The Sox made us money last night, and I believe we will see the same thing happen this afternoon. These are massive games for Chicago, and when you need to win games and are the significantly more talented team, I will back you. Their offense has swung it really well in this series, and they face a guy with limited major league experience today. Johnny Cueto has quietly submitted a heck of a season, and I trust that will continue against this depleted Royals lineup today.
