They have been able to allow some young players to play a lot of time, especially over the last few weeks. They recently called up top prospect Corbin Carroll who showed off his skill set in the series against Philly. He will be a fun player to watch the rest of the year. Milwaukee has had a disappointing year to this point, and they will have just over a month to fix it. They led the NL Central at the all-star break, but a hot couple of months from the Cardinals knocked them out. They now sit 6.5 games out of the division and three games out of the wildcard. They will look to heat up tonight and bounce back from a poor offensive performance last night. Milwaukee will send southpaw Eric Lauer to the mound. Opposing Lauer will be veteran Zach Davies.
I am backing a bounce back from the Brew Crew tonight. Milwaukee needs this game, and they need it badly. If they continue to lose games they are supposed to win, they will have no chance to make the postseason. I am betting on some regression here from Arizona, who has been playing above their skill set as of late. Lauer and Davies are similar pitchers in the fact I do not expect a lot from either.
