Good, glad we got that out of the way quickly today. The Astros are the best team in the American League and the frontrunner in my eyes all day long to make a run at the title. They are 41 games above .500 at 91-50 and tonight face a team they dominate that holds almost nearly an inverse record.
The Detroit Tigers sport a record of 54-87 on the season; they have lost six consecutive contests with Houston including a 7-0 ball game last night. Drew Hutchinson has the ball for Detroit and he is sporting a .356/.441/.468 expected slash line against this Houston lineup based on previous meetings and that's enough to make me bite here.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction
The St. Louis Cardinals are the leading horse in the NL Central and this evening they host the only team in their division that has a chance of pursuit: The Milwaukee Brewers. Technically they still could catch St. Louis in a perfect scenario and they are not playing bad baseball at 6-4 across their last ten and nine games above .500; the problem is St. Louis shows no signs of stopping.
St. Louis has steamed ahead and have not looked back; they sport a Major League-best 21-7 record across the last month and have all the energy in the air in that city. Albert Pujols is making a run at 700 and the Cardinals are heading to the postseason, it is electric.
Jordan Montgomery has been lights out since the trade and at 5-0 with a sub 1.5 ERA in that time and what I know about cardinals baseball I have to back them here.
