1u - SEA/LAA NRSI / SEA o0.5 Team Total (-120 ) (Bet $120 to win $100)

We love betting these. This game has a total of just seven which is a great sign for this bet. George Kirby faces off against Shohei Ohtani, two great pitchers, and guys who are familiar with the opposing team. Kirby hasn’t allowed a run in the 2nd inning in eight of his last nine games. Ohtani has been even more deadly pitching in the 2nd inning, he has thrown a scoreless second inning in his last 18 starts. The last time Ohtani allowed a run in the second inning was May 11 against Tampa Bay.

Ohtani’s hit rate is 18/18 and Kirby’s is 8/9, this NRSI feels good. We get to avoid Trout, Ohtani, J-Rod, France, etc., and will see at bats from lesser batters on both teams. The juice reducer is Mariners over 0.5 just because it feels safe. Ohtani is outstanding but Seattle has scored 1+ run in 73 of their last 74 games. In the two games against the Angels when Ohtani started we saw Seattle score in both games. It doesn’t matter if it’s against him or the bullpen, we just need one run.

Everything points to this bet hitting, the pitchers history in the second inning, and the Mariners' incredible streak of 1+ runs. The 7 run total makes me think this game remains low scoring and it's much more likely we see runs in the first inning than the second with all of the stars that will be entering the plate. This is a staple of our betting season and I couldn’t be happier to see it make a return tonight. Let's roll!
