Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians Prediction

The Cleveland Guardians and the Chicago White Sox will clash from the southside of Chicago on Tuesday night for a pivotal AL Central series. This series could very well decide who comes out of the Central as the Guardians come into the series with a four-game lead over the Sox.

Chicago is playing their best baseball at the moment, and they are a team that, if they can get into the playoffs, nobody will want to see in the postseason. Cleveland has had a great year as they entered the season, not slated to be a playoff team. They have continued to prove doubters wrong despite having one of the lowest payrolls in all of baseball. The White Sox clearly have the better roster among these two teams, but as we know, you can have all the talent in the world, but if you can not piece it together on the field, it is pointless.

Cleveland will control their fate for the next couple of weeks, and the only way the Sox can guarantee that they are picking up games in the division is if they win these head-to-head matchups. The Sox will send Dylan Cease to the bump tonight. Cease has been the ace of this rotation this year and, up to a couple of weeks ago, was a serious candidate to win the Cy Young award. Opposing Cease will be Aaron Civale. Civale has been up and down all season long for Cleveland and will look to turn in a strong outing tonight.

I am backing the Sox on the moneyline. I am sure this line will continue to jump through the day, but I will sip on some juice and trust the team here with the better arm. We are 13-2 in our last fifteen games betting on Chicago, and I can not stop backing them now. They have finally hit their stride, and they are a dangerous ball club at the moment. Cease should handle this Cleveland lineup well, and I trust that the Sox bats will stay hot and get runs against Civale. Let's keep things rolling tonight!
