The NRSI returns. This is the only series I feel slightly comfortable betting on the NRSI. Teams like the Dodgers and Braves are too deep and have players that scared me in the middle of their lineup. I’m not going to sit here and act like the Yankees and Guardians don’t have solid players, but there is a noticeable drop-off, and we get to avoid some heavy hitters like Judge and J-Ram.

This game has a 6-run total. Our juice reducer is for Cleveland not to score six or more on their own, which would be wild if they hit the total alone. Nestor Cortes shouldn’t allow that. Nasty Nestor is an animal at home, he holds a 1.95 home ERA throughout 15 starts this year and has looked good against this Cleveland team. He has pitched two outings against them and allowed one run and two runs in those two starts and didn’t allow a run in the 2nd inning in either game.

We need three outs from Shane Bieber as well. Bieber is dominant on the road holding a 2.65 ERA throughout 18 road starts. Bieber should likely avoid some of the homerun threats with Judge, Rizzo, and Stanton, and worst case scenario, he maybe faces one. Bieber is a guy I can trust to get us three outs and ask for nothing more out of. This game has a 6-run total, and the 2nd inning is notoriously one of the lowest-scoring innings in the history of baseball. The odds are in our favor today. Let's roll!
