ANALYSIS

San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers NLDS Prediction, Pick, Odds: Will Blake Snell Quiet Dodgers?

The Los Angeles Dodgers vs. the San Diego Padres will battle things out from Petco Park on Friday night. This will be the first time the Padres hosted a playoff game since 2006, so the fans will certainly be fired up for this game tonight. They should be more fired up that their Padres went into La and stole a game that Clayton Kershaw started.

San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction

The Padres are hopeful that their hot bats from game two carry into this pivotal game three at home. This is a swing game meaning whoever wins this game percentage-wise should win the series. The Dodgers are the best team in baseball, but once October comes around, everything resets. The Padres know that they have a golden opportunity tonight to take a series lead, and they have a guy on the mound in which they have a ton of confidence in.

Blake Snell will toe the rubber for the Friars. Snell is a former Cy Young winner, and he is capable of going out and shutting down this LA lineup. He also is capable of going out, struggling with his command, and having a short night. The Padres have to hope that the good version of Snell shows up tonight. Opposing Snell will be Tony Gonsolin, who enjoyed a career year. Gonsolin was an all-star for the first time in his career, but he regressed a bit in the second half of the season. LA will be hopeful that in the first half of the year, Gonsolin toes the rubber tonight.

I love the Padres at home here as a dog. Listen, this crowd is going to be fired up and ready to go. I think the Padres feed off of that energy and get things done tonight. I still give Snell the advantage here over Gonsolin and believe that he can go out and limit this great Dodger lineup. San Diego is swinging the bats very well as of late, and I am confident that they can continue that against Gonsolin tonight.
