ANALYSIS

Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees ALCS Game 1 Prediction, Pick, Odds

Well, I love the Houston Astros tonight here in game 1 and believe they have the advantage in this series as well. They took the season series by a final tally of 5-2 and for good reason, they are better than the guys in pinstripes. This is playoff baseball and anything can happen, you all know that; I am not guaranteeing anything and with the story starting to fall in line for New York trust me I believe they can get hot and win this, I just don't find it likely.

Astros vs. Yankees Prediction

Don’t get me wrong, the Yankees are playing well, and the superstars on that roster like Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton are doing what they need to do to give this team a chance to win. However, when the dust settles in this series the Astros should come out on top. They have the stronger lineup, a well-rested bullpen, and home-field advantage.

The Houston Astros are the Los Angeles Dodgers of the American League. The lineup is loaded top to bottom and even with the guys who have left over the years, they continue to replace that back end of the lineup with other guys who slug she asked as well as the rest of them. The Yankees have a few hitters who are truly dangerous and everyone else contributes here and there but the Houston Astros are truly a gauntlet.

Justin Verlander has the ball for the Astros tonight and he is one of the best starting pitchers in the history of the game. The extra rest should do him well and pitching at home is a great thing for him. New York is traveling down after having just played yesterday, used three of their top relievers, and lost Aaron Hicks.

Houston in game one.
